Our Brady

This morning at 9:00am, our Brady was laid to rest at the LaSalle Equine Clinic in Kalispell.

This morning I met Stacie as she got off work and we were preparing for a call from the vet that would come some time today. Stacie and I decided to make a quick trip together to go see Brady at the clinic - and maybe the vet would be available to meet with us. When we arrived he brought Brady out from his stall into the hospital area and tied him up. They performed a complete flushing of the tendon sheath with 3 liters of fluid, but this was not the solution. With the injuries and infection to the tendon sheathing, Brady's only option would be painful, lengthy, and not always promising. The doctor was very clear on our options and it was what we unfortunately expected. We could not go through and allow Brady to experience a long, painful recovery. The success rate for the procedure is under 50% and often results in the same conclusion as we faced this morning.

As Stacie and I walked outside to discuss things, Stacie bravely made the decision to put Brady in God's hands. We know he is in a better place and without pain.

Thank you for all of your prayers,
Eric & Stacie & Erica
