Lowes Sucks & a HomeDepot Prank

Oh my.... my afternoon didnt go to well as Lowes screwed me over again and sold me the wrong shingles. So, I had to cancel my help and return to town. I am/was very mad. This video has turned me around. Someone is giving a prank call to HomeDepot and they are using sound clips from Hank Hill... Hilarious!

Back to work

Now that I have returned from sending Erica off to Hawaii, I can get things wrapped up on the cabin. I will be meeting Frank (local friend/builder) at the cabin so he can get the rest of the roof installed. Being an experienced builder, he does not have a problem with heights and will pound the roof out in no-time.. I think I am going to hire him to help with the siding as well.. yeah!

Stacie is still vacationing in WA and will return Wednesday morning. Last she called from Sumner/Puyallup and was out with her girlfriends. I do know that they went to Olive Garden for dinner. I had a bag of popcorn. I guess some of us are more fortunate than others.

Finally - the last video (3 of 3)

HD Video

2 of 3

I had a fun evening at Rick and Sue's while in Wenatchee. I filmed quite a bit of us but had to cut out most of it because I feel our 'casual' language and content should remain off-camera. Some people there hold public office - so its best to be careful. haha

I am still editing the final (3 of 3) video...

Overdue

It has been nearly a week since my last post as things have been busy. This weekend Erica departed to Hawaii to spend the summer with her dad and family. This is always a sad time for all of us - but it is also a very exciting time for her. She is excited to see her dad, sisters and the beautiful beaches of Hawaii. After spending over 2 months there, she will return to Montana in late August. Erica promises to keep her blog updated with pictures and letters.

I just returned from WA today.. Stacie will return in 2 weeks. :(

I will upload some videos this afternoon..

Seasons Past

Now that the Cup has been kissed and paraded in Detroit, it is time to look forward to another season. Only 3 more months until training camp!

Today I went to the cabin to get the roof done. I did get quite a bit on but I am not done. I would say about 40% complete. I should finish it up tomorrow - with the help of Erica. She is going to earn a some money before her departure to Hawaii next weekend. :(

Good news: We were approved for our construction loan so now things are really going to get rolling. Obviously, this was the biggest step so far.. so I am glad we can move forward. Yeah!

I will be back at the cabin all weekend and I will try to get a video of my (completed) progress.
Bye!

Countdown to Game 6

In my last post I said that ANYTHING can happen in the Finals and I was right. With 34.6 seconds remaning in the game (and the series), the Penguins tied the game to take it to OT. The Wings would lose the game after 3 OTs... Oh boy.. Stacie was sure happy!

Is Tonight the Night?

The Cup will be present in the Joe (Lewis Arena) tonight and the Wings are hoping to get the final win (and the Cup) in front of a home crowd. I am feeling really good about tonight but I do not want to spoil anything by overlooking the Pens attempt to get back in the series. Like I said last week - if the Wings win (Game 4) and return home for Game 5 - the Cup is theirs. The Wings don't lose at home. It is the Stanley Cup Finals and ANYTHING can happen. Let's just hope for a good game!

What does Stacie think? "I think the Penguins is going to kick some butt and Crosby is going to be p*ssed."

Bring it on!

A Huge Win and a Quick Weekend

The Wings are one win away from winning the Cup - and this may happen Monday night in Detroit. Party time here...!

This weekend was short and quick but I did get a lot done at the cabin. I continued my attempts in finding my long property line. I think I finally found it. Also, the recent spring weather blew my felt paper off the cabin roof so the mega-rain downpours we have experienced here found its way in the cabin. Today I repapered the roof and applied a big tarp. I was soaking wet.. long day. I am beat. Time to rest for another big week!
