The 'bird' is probably a ptarmigan. pronounced 'tar-mi-gan'. At least it looks like one. They are a northern grouse, usually white in the winter then turning brown in the spring. It could be a blue or ruffed grouse but I think not. It's not 'pregnant' but just fat. They aren't really too spooky and normally move rather slow. They are a neat bird. Cabin looks great and the view really a lot better. I hope you can get some more good animal video. That's fun. Good video. Rick
